Time For A New Post!!!

Saturday we drove to Post Falls to attend some activities and to help ordain Braxton a Teacher on Sunday.

 We attended Braxton and Kanyon's soccer game.  True to form it was a little windy and chilly.  What would a soccer game be without those two elements.  We also attended Adria's soccer game.  For some reason I forgot to take any pictures.

 Obviously the players were having a good time.

 Can you run for 1 1/2 hours?

 Maybe some of you are aware of my fascination with trains.  On the way to the local pumpkin patch we had to stop for a long (108 car) one.  Kimbre counted them all.  Matt said a true Idaho Redneck would have gone around the barriers and beat the train.

 How do nine people make a decision?  It ain't easy!  Raya and Adria were with their Activity Days group (that's part of the reason we went) and Kevin had to work.

 Most walked while Grandpa went back and got the Explorer.  Part of the time Matt was on one running board, Braxton was on the other, and Kanyon was standing on the rear bumper hanging on to the luggage rack .  Brought back the old days of riding in open pickups and on tractor fenders.

 There were moments of joy and sadness.

Naturally, Grandma brought her tub of activities. 

Sunday morning we all attended church and were able to assist as Kevin ordained Braxton a Teacher.  We enjoyed the meetings, came home and rested, then had a wonderful dinner at Kevin and Lisa's.  That evening they returned to church for a family fireside so we went over and visited with Matt and Kimbre.  After the fireside we all had chocolate cake and ice cream (some got it on their clothes - it's hard to carry a flat pan of cake with chocolate icing flowing back and forth as you walk) to celebrate Braxton's birthday.  With T-shirts from Kimbre and a handful of wet-wipes all had clean clothes and Kevin and Lisa's pickup had clean seats.  We stayed part of the day Monday and then came home.
