Life is Back to Normal

Life if about back to normal.  Toys are put away, bedding washed and reinstalled, lawn mowed, and cars back in their designated parking spots.  Almost daily Mom and I comment on how nice it was to have everyone here and about the "fun" stuff we did.  Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.  Thanks for your help and for setting aside your responsibilities to make the trip and be with the rest of us.  We got the pictures from the photographer and I have the folder ready to copy to the flash drives.  I will probably do it tonight so Mom can send them out tomorrow.  Hope you enjoy off the pictures and info.
The Richards had their family reunion this week.  Word is they all had the flu.  Uncle Eugene, Aunt Janice, and Ty came over yesterday and spent the afternoon.  They flew out to Warden to visit her family.  Mom, Lacey, and the boys went to Post Falls on Friday to visit and deliver some reunion stuff.  Riley is walking all over the place.  We just had home teachers, and my Eagle Scout just canceled so it is NAP TIME.  Have a good week.  We got a computer virus and in trying to clear it up I somehow lost all audio in my computer so it is headed to the shop tomorrow.  Wish me luck.

Tales from Wyoming

An excerpt from my journal:

And so I’m here, at the Mountain View Motel. I called Bishop [Ruby] and a friend of his is bringing the car part from Sheridan, where the temple worker lives. Hopefully that part arrives tonight. I want to install it tonight. Lisa wants to be on the road as soon as possible. Actually, she and the kids want to be in Idaho. I know Dad was expecting all of us to be at church tomorrow, but I don’t mind this small town. It’s been hectic being stranded, but I don’t feel frustrated or helpless. So many people have been so kind to us.

The girls helped us stock up on a few things at the local IGA. Within walking distance of our motel room.

This statue reminded me of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." According to the story, this man withstood a band of rebels from inside a cabin for seven hours. When they set it afire, he came out with guns a'blazin'. I thought dad would like it.

A photo from dinner at the local tavern. The boys had to sit on one side of the table because of the subject matter on the painting hanging behind them.
