It's that time of year again. I know because it has been snowing this week. It finally cleared up and we saw a little sun today. The Jazz Festival isn't what it used to be. I remember there being upwards of 10,000 people in town with buses everywhere. I would guess there aren't more than 5,000 that come now. Doc Skinner retired, Lionel died, and the economy has made it hard for schools to afford the trip.
You know spring is just around the corner when Shane gets the motorcycle out and fires it up. He was frustrated yesterday because he couldn't get it to run right. He finally put it back in his garage and said "I'll work on it later."
We had the oil changed in the Explorer a couple of weeks ago and they said the tires needed replaced. I knew that. So, I ordered a set of new Firestone tires and had them installed on Thursday. After all these years I'm still partial to Firestone. We had to mortgage the farm to pay for them. In the old days we paid $80 per tire. Not any more!!!!
Enjoy the week and have fun.
