A year or so ago Latah Grain Growers sold all their assets to Primeland Distributer of Lewiston. They built on to the tanks south of town and added an office and retail space. A local developer bought the silos and was going to make apartments out of them. Finally they decided to just tear them down.

A contractor from Colfax is disassembling the wooden part and Germer Construction is using a crane with a wrecking ball to knock the concrete silos down.

We heard that the area across the street from the hospital will eventually be some sort of medical facility.

Do any of you recognize some familiar areas where you used to go "puddle jumping" with #5?

Well... We Did It

We took a little drive out to the Mazda dealership this morning and left with a different car than we came in. We bought the Mazda 3, black outside, gray inside. Same as we test drove last week. They had some sale going on, so they made it seem like we actually saved money (still not to sure). We also traded in Kimbre's Toyota Camry. We now are an upwardly mobile couple, no longer landlocked by gas mileage and vehicle reliability. Look out.

If only we had a digital camera, we could upload some pics to the blog for all to see. 'Till then, you'll have to wait until our next rip to Moscow when Dad can photo it.
