Another average week. We work, we come home, we do stuff, we get up and start over every morning. The weather has decided to return to summer. It was 84 yesterday and is supposed to be in the high 70's for at least the next week. I got a lot done around the house. I took the "for show only" lath off the steps to the deck. Once I got the final approval from the city I took the lath off and plan to leave it just the way it is. I touched up the paint above, under and around the deck, I caulked around all the windows except the kitchen and our bedroom (I couldn't reach them without a tall extension ladder). I used 6 tubes of caulk. Some of the gaps were rather large.
Mom went with Seth, Lacey and family to the Philips Farm just over Steak House Hill. They had hay rides, face painting, and fun stuff to celebrate autumn time. They all seemed to enjoy it.
Tomorrow afternoon I will leave for north Idaho. I plan to stay overnight Monday and Tuesday with Matt and Kimbre as I work with the guy that is retiring to become familiar with his buildings. I called Matt and left a message, I hope he remembers I'm coming.
Friday morning I was at the Pullman Institute to check some wireless Internet coverage. I went out to my pickup to get a flashlight and on the way back in I stepped on the edge of the sidewalk and turned my ankle. I sort of tripped and fell on one knee and then onto my face. As I fell I put my left arm under my body and my rib cage came down right on top of it. I kind of felt things push into my chest and all the air went out of my lungs (remember, this all happened in one nano-second). I didn't hear anything crack but I thought I might have broken a rib or two. When I got the air back in my lungs and looked around to see if anyone was watching, I got up and made my way into the building and kept on working. It has been very sore since then. I have to cough, sneeze, and breath very carefully. I feel a little better each day so I'm hoping to be back to normal in a few days.
Have a good week.
