Applesauce
It's Columbus day this weekend and Kelly gets Monday off, so we headed to Palmyra to learn the fine art of applesauce making. Kelly's grandma makes applesauce every year and it's a family tradition. Kelly always tries to steal a few jars when we visit. The process is pretty simple. Cook the apples with a little bit of water, run them through the grinder, and add just a bit of sugar. Kelly's family recipe always ends up kind of pink because they leave the skins on the apples when they cook them.
