Here are some pictures of the group dying eggs. We had a lot of fun and even managed to get some color on the eggs!
This week I had a cool experience. They asked me to go over to Denver Bishop's Storehouse and run a radio on Thursday. They had a group from Denver go up to Cheyenne and met with the local leaders up there about starting their own emergency communication groups. They set up their radios at the Stake Center/ Storehouse parking lot in WY, and I set up my radio atop the Grain Silos at the Storehouse here in Denver. (About 150 feet in the air.) Boy was it windy and cold up there. We transmitted to each other and I could barely hear them and they heard me fine. When I said hello to the group in Cheyenne, the locals all got a big smile on their faces. It was fun to get a direct radio to radio contact across state lines.
The other big news of the week was Garret's wedding. It was a lot of fun to see all the cousins. We had fun visiting with them at the temple, at Erik's house and then at the wedding reception. I wish we all lived closer so that we could see each other more. I had seen a lot of the younger kids through pictures but it was fun to see them in person. I think they were all headed home today. I hope they made it safe as we had two more inches of snow this morning that melted off this afternoon.
Happy Easter!
