Wow, the blog is suddenly popping. Maybe Kelly woke everyone up.

Just the usual Sunday around here. Today was ward conference. The stake brings the program and all we had to do was make sure the meeting started on time. We received an excellent message but aside from that this was the smoothest ward conference I've ever had. I did a lot of e-mailing all week to make sure everything was set and it all came together today.

We had the sister missionaries here for dinner today along with Seth, Lacey and Weston. Mom out did herself as usual. The sisters are excited. They will have a baptism in our ward in two weeks. This is a good set of missionaries and the ward is doing a great job of referring their friends. After dinner Mom took them to Colfax where they had a discussion. Seth, Weston and I stayed home to get the briquettes going and made smores.

Go Rockies!!!!! Glad to hear that you Denverites have something to cheer about. Maybe this year is the big one.

Back to work tomorrow. Our computer system is still down (all this week) but we are finding things to keep us busy. Wednesday and Thursday we are in Spokane all day. This is our yearly meeting were Salt Lake sends people out to teach and impress us. It is enjoyable to see old friends, eat good food and get away for a couple of days. I am booked with eagle scout business Monday and Tuesday night so this week will be a busy one.

I Spy a Pentagon

For those of you, like myself, who don't like to enlarge the pictures because our computers are too slow, you won't have to do so to find this one.

Fun Weekend

We went to WSU's pumpkin patch yesterday and had so much fun. We bought a token pumpkin for Weston, apparently the smaller ones are better for pies and thus more expensive. Seth and I were more excited about the ones we got at Richards. Last night, we went to the parents to carve them and make a mess of their house instead of ours. Actually, I wanted to use the Jigsaw, something Seth was not so sure of.

The U of I also set off some fireworks on Friday night for Homecoming. They are trying to bring back more traditions. As we sat on the lawn in front of the University Inn, I was craving some tootsie pops and licorice. Had we actually gone and gotten some at WINCO we would have missed the show. It lasted about ten minutes, but it was totally awesome. Everytime the fireworks would increase I thought it was the finale; but no, they actually had a pretty sweet ending. We left Weston with the parents and Mom said Weston wasn't too thrilled with the noise. We were the only ones with chairs on the lawn, a couple of people stopped to watch and one car honked.

The countdown to Baby Jones is at four weeks. We have an appointment tomorrow, we'll see what the doc has to say. I am so excited (for the baby, not the appointment...)

Ready for my close-up!

Not much too exciting this week, so I thought I would post this one of Kori posing. I'm pretty sure she is now ready for her glamour shots session at the mall.

Yesterday was Les's Super Saturday craft fair at the church. If I have to cut out one more wood block (39) or drill another glass block (53), I'm going to scream. I guess I shouldn't complain, the ladies had a fun time making their crafts and socializing. The crafts turned out looking really nice in the end, especially the weathered wood blocks.

CAN YOU BELEIVE THE ROCKIES!!! 20 WINS OUT OF THE LAST 21 GAMES!!! Usually we are not too big on sports in our house, but man are they hot. How cool will it be to have the World Series here in Colorado. (I know I'm counting my chickens before they've hatch.)

Fresh Meat

Yes, I know my eyes are closed in this picture. But it's got such a great view... Anyway. Tonight T-rav and I are posting this blog for no reason other than to post a blog. Here's our news for the week: I only worked 3 days this past week, since this weekend was "Fall Break" which is really code for "it's hunting season and we know all you red necks won't come to school anyway, so we might as well just give you the day off." I sat around for most of the time, reading the 3 Musketeers (I highly recommend it) and watching movies. They should give us days off for nothing more often! AND I hit the 1/2 way mark for UVSC's semester. Less than 2 months to go! This week Trav continued to look for a new job. I've decided we're just going to have to bite the bullet and look for something that will take us overseas. You all know what a trial that will be for me...

We just watched a most excellent movie. It's called "Children of Heaven" and is an Iranian film about 2 kids who share a pair of shoes. For those of you who may be concerned, it does have subtitles but it's not weird. You don't even have to be a lover of foreign films to enjoy it.

Our next picture is of a man carrying a very fresh side of beef. So fresh, in fact, that if you look closely you can see drips of blood on his heel. T-rav was good enough to distract the man by asking him a question as he walked so that we could take the picture from behind.

Pops- did you notice that you were the 300th blog? Trav asks "Do you think people are blogging less these days because it's not summer and there's not as much going on, or is everyone growing tired of it?"
