Thr south end of a northbound ...

Us here in the south forty of Denver got 6-7 inches of snow on the grass. The 2-3 inches of slush on the roads is about gone but there should be just enough left to freeze overnight. tommorrow will be a good day to be a landscaper. The temperature yesterday was 80 and now the overnight low is 24. The weather must be female with those kind of mood swings. JK!

No Snow Here - Yet!

This was taken at a Moscow First Ward party years ago when the theme was the "50's". They brought this motorcycle into the church and used it as a prop for pictures.

I'm not sure I'll have time to keep up with two blogs and get everything else done in my life. It will be interesting to hear from the other side of the family and to see what they are doing.

I especially like Kevin's new blog idea, "You write the Caption". Maybe we can start a new prime time hit TV program.

This week was a little different than usual. I was in Spokane Wednesday and Thursday for meetings, then back to the old grind on Friday. It rained off and on Saturday so I really didn't do much of anything. I bought a small wood box to put my "coins" in. I have kept them from clear back in grade school. I have a dime that was radiated at Hanford Nuclear Reservation and that is supposed to be radio active. Maybe that is why I have such a glowing personality. I also have various coins I've picked up along the way. I have an 1890 Morgan silver dollar. I think it is actually worth about $35.00. Anyway, with the ones I bought at the Denver Mint I wanted a box to keep them in. This week I am going to order a Silver Eagle coin from the mint. It is made of silver and is meant for collectors or those investing in precious metal bullion. My one coin probably won't make too big of a dent. I would also like a Gold Eagle coin but they run about $800.00 each so I'll have to wait a while for that one.

This morning everyone was complaining about how cold it was at church so I went upstairs to check the furnaces and found that they were all running trying to heat the church but there was no natural gas to fire them. We did some checking and found that there was no gas to anything. I call Avista (our gas company) and they sent someone to check it out (two hours later). We think that three weeks ago a backhoe across the street cut the gas line so they shut our supple off while they fixed the cut and then never told us nor did they turn it back on (they padlocked it in the off position). For the last three weeks the weather had been such that most people were nether too hot nor too cold. Then this morning most everyone was cold. At about 11:00am we got it going again and all was well.

I think I am going to enjoy the new blog. Hope others contribute and enjoy it too. I'll try to go over to Grandpa's this afternoon and show him how to access it and how to post.

Glad Paul Bunion didn't hurt himself too bad when he dropped the tree on his head.

Snow!!!

These are a couple of shots from my latest project. It started out as a small waterfall and the project kind of grew larger. It was fun to build and the homeowners are really happy. I always worry how it will look when we first fire it up, but this one runs well. I think the plan is to come back next year and add more boulders and plants around the edges to finish it off.

I wish I was a better photographer sometimes. This plant looked really pretty this morning with the new snow falling down. The bright reds and clean whites made a pretty contrast. When we woke up this morning, it was just raining. I went to my Presidency meeting this morning and when I walked outside it had changed to snow. It came down pretty good and gave us about an inch or two on the grass. Most of it has already melted, but it was pretty there for awhile.

I'll keep watchin' the new blog. Hopefully it takes off, it will be fun to see what the other cousins are doing.
