It's a Girl!

Kimbre posted this on her family blog about a month ago, so I'm a few weeks late. I think everbody knows by now, but in case you don't we're having a little baby girl in June.

This is the 3D photo of her from Kimbre's last ultrasound.

This is one of the videos they took during the ultrasound. If you squint just right, cross your eyes, and focus/unfocus a few times, you can make out a little girl in the image.

Just for Fun

The last couple of weeks I have been scanning pictures of Mom's family. Along the way I found this picture taken the summer we got married and I was working for Tsugio Nakamura. As I was looking at it I got to thinking about the hat. It was my Boy Scout "Smokey the Bear" hat. I soaked it in water for a while and then worked on re-forming it. It is my best attempt at Clint Eastwood, Crocodile Dundee, and Joe Cool. There are even a few holes in it from being used as second base for one of our softball games. It didn't hold up too well to baseball cleats. More fun pictures to follow later.

Our Anniversary Weekend!...has it been 5 years already??

Well, we figured with a baby on the way and it being the big 5th year anniversary, we would do something fancy. Around here, the fanciest thing to do is stay at the lavish Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane, WA. And, boy, we weren't disappointed!

Never have we experienced such a hotel! Valet parking, a door man with a fancy uniform, and a great room with a really big shower! Oh, how small-town, hick-ish we sound but we felt very much like fish-out-of-water.

After dinner and a movie, we ordered up some yummy late night treats! Matt had 3 big cookies and milk and I had apple crisp a la mode!

To finish the weekend off, we went to a Spokane Chiefs hockey game! Matt even caught a free t-shirt from the sling shot! It's great to have a tall man with long arms!
