The newest 4-year old

Kanyon had a wonderful birthday! He woke up before all of us. He was so excited to open his presents. He had quite the list after walking the toy aisle at Target. Kevin actually did the shopping this time and it was a success. We just did a little party of 5 tonight. It didn't seem to bother him too much. All he wanted was a star cake with fire--Whatever that means. So I got to be creative and then convince him that what I made really was cool. Thanks grammy and grandpa for the cool gifts. The legos have been built three different ways already today. It seems you can't go wrong with Legos.

The clock is ticking down with baby, too. 3 weeks till the due date. Things are slowly coming together. Braxton and Kanyon helped pick out a coming home outfit for both a girl and a boy. They are equally excited about the arrival. (I think it's because they get to go play at other people's houses while we are hospitalized!!!)

Idaho's Newest Cosmetologist

Kimbre got her results back from her test yesterday. The written test was broken up into two parts, law and theory. She got a 75 (req. minimum) on the law and a 96 on the theory portion. On the practical demonstration, she got a 99 out of 100. The plan now is for her to begin working as a stylist when a spot opens up for her. She is excited and ready to move from retail sales to working a chair.
We also got a new toy for ourselves this last week. We ordered a new digital camera from costco.com and it arrived early Monday morning. It's a Canon A630, a little bigger than a pocket cam and a little smaller than a bulky full-size one. Other than taking pictures of our living room and messing with the buttons, we haven't used it a whole lot...yet. Maybe now we can throw some pics up on the blog.
