Happy Sunday
Well we had a good weekend. Kevin already covered what we did when he was here so I'll stick to what we did before he got here and let Matt fill in the details later. Matt and Kimbre got here on Thursday and while Kelly went to work the rest of us went out to eat at Costa Vida. I think Kimbre was rather excited. Friday we bopped around, saw Matt's old boss and took the nickel tour of Provo. The evening was topped off with a visit to Burgers Supreme and a rental of Transformers. Saturday morning Kelly and Kimbre went shopping and made apple crisp while Matt and I went shooting with some friends. On the way out to the hills to go shooting I drove extra carefully so as to not attract the attention of any officers of the law. We weren't doing anything wrong but I didn't to explain why between the four of us we had between 15 and 20 guns in the truck. Matt was a big hit with his contributions to our outing and I think a good time was had by all.

Since we're throwing in pictures of Halloween, here's one of Kelly a few years back.

Joe's new ride!
Today was the Primary Sacrament Meeting program. It went very well and the leaders and kids did a nice job. Lacey and her councilors put in a lot of work and it was a nice program.
Now the next big thing is the ward Halloween program. Each family decorates a "door" in the church and hands out candy or whatever as the kids walk up and down the halls. After that we have a ward dinner - bread bowls full of soup. This party has become a big thing in our ward. Another ward asked if we wanted to go together for the party and we just said "no thanks". We don't share with anyone.
Seth, Lacey and Weston came over for dinner and we ended up down at Hordeman Pond feeding the ducks again. An older gentleman came along and said he had just fed them and while we were there another couple came along with their grandson and fed them again and then a lady pulled up in her car and started throwing crackers at them. These are the best fed ducks in the country.
Scott Billy and Marcie had their baby girl about a week ago. Sandy brought pictures over to show us. A cute little girl.
Hope everyone has a fun Halloween.
Love,
Dad and Mom
Was there even time for sleeping?
Lisa and I drove out to Provo on Saturday. We arrived at Kelly and Travis' around 4:30; followed by Ryan and Diana, and Brandon and Michelle. Matt and Kimbre were already there. After pizza and visiting we put the kids to bed. Then Matt brought out his firearms for show-and-tell. We weren't tired yet so Travis let us take the "moped" out for a spin. After that Travis and I decided to hike the Y. Our wives were asleep and Matt declined. We got in after 1:00.
This morning our family attended Brandon and Michelle's sacrament meeting, in the same building Lisa and I attended when we were first married. Lisa asked, "Did we look that young when we were first married?" I'll say this, no one else in the chapel had four kids.
Lisa took me to the airport this afternoon and then drove to her sister, Angie's, in Riverton. Erik picked me up from the airport with his kids. He told me not to mention the blue ink. I got back tonight just in time for a fireside the young men were presenting. We invited three couples to discuss their dating and courtship. I think it went well. Now we just need to teach the kids to keep their hands off each other.
That's it for now. Sorry to bore you with a travel-log. Lisa has the camera. Hopefully she'll post some pictures of the kids on the Vespa.
