A mini tour

 The house!  We were finally admitted Wed Oct 2 after much waiting and anxiety.  It was a phone call that said it's yours, the key is hiding on the outside of the house.  It was a little hard to get overly excited with a welcome like that.  I spent the day moving things from the mini house over to the real house.

The kitchen.  A little small but it has a lot of cabinet space and a pantry so as of right now, everything fits.

Ding and dent fridge that saved us a few hundred dollars.  It's a monster in our small kitchen, but I know when we have teenagers I'll be grateful for the size.

Staircase up to the bedrooms, the door to the right is to the "basement" which is unfinished so we can close it off and cover up the undoneness of it all.  

This is the garage packed full of nearly every earthly possession we owned.  It moved in on Friday and just waited for us until Wednesday when we could start moving it in.

Our first dinner at the house.  Frozen burritos and pizza rolls.  No kitchen table yet so this is how we ate.  

Kevin, (and Matt and grandpa) helped to assemble the new table and chairs.  They are beautiful.  I love them!  

Kevin already built his shelves/workbench in the garage.  They got most everything off the floor and he is happy with them.  They are so strong the kids can climb all over them and Kanyon even made a fort way up in the rafters.

I didn't want to bore you with too many empty house pictures.  As we finish up rooms, we'll send some "completed" pictures.  We ran down to Moscow this weekend to get the remainder of our possessions from the parents house and Lacey and I ran to Joann to pick out fabric for curtains for the sliding glass door.  (Thanks Lacey!) They are going to look awesome!
We're starting to figure out Halloween costumes, we're thinking of the theme Despicable Me.  Kevin has even agreed to be Gru.  I think I'll be the girl in the box of shame while the kiddos will be Minions.  We'll see if we really pull it all off.  That means Kevin might need a pair of skinny jeans, he could probably pull it off!

Formula One

 

Recently, I took the Priest Quorum to visit a brother in our ward who owns a lot of race cars.  After looking at his junior dragsters and race cars, he walked us around the corner into another shop... and there she was, his formula one car.  He isn't allowed to "own" the chassis, and he cannot touch the motor (it is proprietary propery of Cosworth. He has to send it to them to be serviced or repaired.)  It was a tight fight getting in and out.  There is no seat, you sit on aluminum panels with padding in your suit.  It was very cool, and there were lots of impressed boys.  It one of three cars, known as the "Three Sisters". The other two are owned by the Unser's.

I made my goal today and spoke with all the families today- even Travis! It was great catching up with everyone.

Dallin's Blessing

We blessed Dallin today. These are from this morning, just before we left for church. We took a family picture at the church with Erik, but it is on his phone so I will post it later, when he gets home. It was a nice day, and Dallin was perfectly quiet as usual.
