Our week

Aimee- attended her outdoor education lab this week. She and her classmates spent Mon through Wed at the YMCA in Estes Park.  She came home one tired kid from all the hiking.  She figures they hiked about 18 miles over the 3 days.

Katie- attended her night at the Zoo on Friday night.  She was able to see lots of fun animals after hours and then spend the night.

Kori- was a King Snake in her class's musical on "biomes."  (We old timers know them as "habitats.")  Les' folks were there along with Greg, Stephanie and their son Everett.

Aly- visited the butterfly pavilion with Greg and family on Friday.  She bravely let the tarantula crawl on her hand and had a butterfly land on her shoulder.  She also had a fun time playing with Jamie and the kiddos on Tuesday.

Ty- spent Saturday with me as we toured a fire truck facility in Fort Collins along with our next door neighbor on Saturday.  Here are some fun pictures from our tour.

Teacher of the Year

 Mom giving her acceptance speech.  I thought it was a little "stiff" when I read it at home but she did a wonderful job of presentation and had many in tears.

We went to a nice awards dinner at the 1912 Center.  Lots of McDonald teachers and staff were there to support Mom.  Some very nice things were said.  She now has a dinner for all 3rd grade teachers in the district, a brunch with the co-workers from McDonald, and a retirement dinner at University Inn Best Western for all those retiring this year.  Party On!!!!!!
