Not a good week to be a "carnie" (they did look a lot cleaner this year). The Latah County Fair is in town and it has rained almost every day or night this week. Friday night we went to the fair and watched Weston and Koper ride the rides, visit the big pig and her piglets, listened to the Kingpins at the bandstand, eat elephant ears, and cotton candy. No one threw up.
Yesterday morning Mom and I drove to the temple to attend our Stake Temple Day. Steve Berglund rode up with us. He was the high councilman over the nursery in the stake center next to the temple. He actually volunteered for the job. He was there for 12 hours. We helped him set up in the morning and then on the way across the parking lot Bishop Walker stopped us and asked if we would do a stint in the nursery after our session. I wasn't too eager but we agreed. The people from our ward that were supposed to work were no-shows. We worked for about 1 1/2 hours with 40-60 kids. This morning in priesthood I nominated Steve for sainthood.
We then drove to Post Falls and took Matt to lunch (we were returning his tools from the great construction project). We got home about 5pm and relaxed. I'll have to mow the lawn tomorrow.
Last Tuesday I attended a meeting in the Tri-Cities where they re-drew the boundaries of the FM Groups.. I will take on three more stakes (Coeur d'Alene, Hayden and Sandpoint). I will travel from just below Pendleton, Oregon on the south to the Canadian Border on the north. It also included a little of Western Montana. I asked Matt if I could stay the night with them when I travel up in that area.
