Earlier tonight we were out watching the neighbors light off some very exciting and very legal fountains and other non-dangerous fireworks when I heard the very distinctive sound of a shotgun being racked right behind us. Yep, my neighbor then proceeded to fire off three 12 gauge rounds straight into the air. So far no one has reported injuries. I'll have to have a look at the church steeple across the street in the morning just to make sure it wasn't hit by stray pellets.
Before and After
I'm trying to decide if I should vinyl something on it...
I also attacked this frame from Marian Smith.
I am going to make a wall hanging of material and/or vinyl.
Who knew spray painting was so much fun!!!

Inheritance
I've been working to make a shadow box with mementos from Grandma & Grandpa. I've got the stuff but can't find the box I want. We pretty well have things divided up and their house cleaned out. There are still a few things in the garage and I have to clean and organize the "tool" corner and then dispose of the stuff. There are a few things Chuck and I want and the rest will probably go to Good Will. Sorry Travis, Uncle Eugene and I found the stash of Grandpa's camera and got so excited he hadn't thrown them away. We decided to "own" them together. I have them here in a case. I cleaned them up yesterday for the photo shoot.
I have a bunch of new "old" pictures of Grandpa in the military that I will add to the blog in the upcoming weeks.
The weather is still cool - 60's and 70's. We might make the high 80's by the end of the week.
We are headed over the Lacey and the boys to set off a few fireworks tonight. Seth is working in Seattle so didn't make it home for the 4th of July.
It sounds like the 4th week of August the crew will descend on our house and change the neighborhood forever. I'm still not sure I'm ready for it.
Enjoy your holiday. We love you all.
