Brady Sagers

I'm sure you've all heard by now, but Brady has arrived!!!  Uncle Chuck was kind enough to induce me yesterday morning.  Luckily, I made it into a delivery room just before they got hit with a rush of pregnant ladies who were really in labor and I didn't get bumped off the schedule and have to wait.  Uncle Chuck is headed to California on Monday to perform robotic surgery on a pig, so I am extra grateful that we were able to have Brady before he left.
Things went really well.  They started me on pitocin around 8:30am, then broke my water a little after noon.  I quickly realized I needed an epidural, which went really well and Brady was born at 2:43pm.  It was my easiest delivery thus far and I am feeling really good.  We're still at the hospital and will probably go home tonight or tomorrow morning.
He is our smallest baby weighing in at 8 lbs 7 ozs, but he was also born two weeks early.  Makes me wonder how large he would have been had he gone full term.  As much as it makes me wonder, I'm glad I didn't have to find out.  All along everyone has been amazed at how large his head was measuring and it turns out it is about 14.5 inches in circumference.  Apparently, 13 is average.  He is large for gestational age but perfectly proportioned so his big head matches the rest of his body.

The boys are warming up to him and are excited to have another brother.
