How about those Mariners?

Kimbre and I made a quick trip to Seattle this week to accomplish one of the last things on our summer to-do list. We left home on Wednesday afternoon, stayed the night in a hotel, made a trip to the waterfront on Thursday morning/afternoon, ate lunch at The Crab Pot, then headed off to the main event...a late afternoon Mariners game at Safeco Field.

The Mariners played the Chicago White Sox and they did not disappoint. They tied the game up in the ninth inning and it stayed that way until the bottom of the 14th inning. After the 14th inning stretch, Ichiro had a walk off RBI base hit to end it all.

Yes this is a real picture (Someone else thought it may have been taken in front of a green screen). At the end of the game, I was in no hurry to fight traffic so we waited a bit and walked down to the first row. A kindly usher was put into service and took this picture for us.
