The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level
distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this
award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of
youth through service given to the council. The Silver Beaver is an award given
to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service
through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service.
Congratulations 2014 recipients!
The Silver Beaver awards will be handed out at
the Council Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner, Saturday March 8th at People
to People Ambassadors from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. The dinner is open to ALL
Scouting volunteers within the council. There will be a reception and auction
as well as a fabulous dinner and program to follow. We hope to see you
and your families there!
I guess after 10 years as the District Advancement Chairman for Eagle Scouts (and a few more (17) working with scouts in general) I'll have to stay on for a while now. The dinner and awards are at a convention center just north of the Spokane Airport. I guess this means a new shirt and pants (that fit).
