Let's Go, I Said!!!!

We just finished our EQ Pinewood Derby. We had four cars entered and mine were two of them. You could say it was a bust. Those that came had a fun time, but I wish there had been more. My "Shelby Striped" car was my stock entry, and the "Duct Tape" special was my unlimited entry. It gets shot down the track with my sling shot. You hook the sling around the transformer core (the car weighs 12.5 ozs with it,) pull back and let her rip. We raced a couple of times for fun and then let the kids race them.

Let Go, I Said!!!!

This morning when I looked out on the deck I could see all the stuffing sticking out of the swing cushion. I thought it had just weathered and was falling apart. Later this morning Mom called down stairs and when I came up here was this squirrel pulling the stuffing out to make a nest. We watched as she would pull a bunch loose, stuff it into her cheeks, jump up on the deck rail, jump over onto Stavros' tree, then down onto their fence, run the length of the fence to the back of our yards, jump up into the pine trees and then run from tree to tree until she got to her nest in one of the trees in about the center of our back fence. I hope her little ones enjoy their synthetic home. We needed to get new cushions anyway.
