Thanks Kimbre!

While in Moscow, Kimbre cut Katie's hair and actually gave her some real bangs. This is what we found under all that hair. We may have to let her hair grow out again and cover it back up!

Not too much new this week. Les is deep into rehearsals so I get to play Mr. Mom. For some reason the house isn't as organized, but everyone is fed and we don't look "too" shabby when we leave the house. Yesterday, I actually took all four kids to the Library. Ty and Aimee went to a volcano presentation, while the rest of us read and played in the kids' section. On the way home we even got the car washed. Believe it or not, there is actually a blue van under all that brown mag chloride.

Kev- glad to hear things are going well. No more late night phone call for awhile-okay?

Brant and Erik, thanks for the support this last week. It's great to have family and even greater to have family with the priesthood. For anyone who hasn't heard about our experience, ask another family member.

We're doing well, each day a little better. Church was good today. The temple was great yesterday. The kids are fine.

Looking forward to brighter days.

Reunion Report

Here is the latest on the reunion questionnaire. Everyone has about the same concept and desires. We are thinking: Probably somewhere around Provo, camping, 3-4 days, early to mid-August. Erik and Jamie - what are your needs for school? Would this fit into the kids school sessions? How about work?

Mom and I will be in Salt Lake/Provo this next weekend picking up a new pickup. We will leave on Thursday after work, get the pickup Friday and spend a couple of days with Travis and Kelly. Monday is a holiday so we will come home Sunday or Monday. Steve Berglund is buying my old pickup so we may have to rent a car to get to Salt Lake.

Sorry to hear about Kevin's experience. I can't imagine what that must have been like. Kevin and family we wish you well. We appreciate you and your family.

Thanks for all the great pictures. Travis and Kelly, if you happen to have or could take a recent photo of yourselves I would like to update the "photo wall" We could even take one this next weekend.

That's about it. I took the picture yesterday while Seth was changing his oil. This little bird looked like it was just out of the nest and wasn't the greatest flyer. Kind of a bad season to be stuck in Moscow and not be able to fly. He eventually flew/hopped away. We wish him luck. Do you recognize where he is sitting?

This is Trav, as seen yesterday on our snowshoeing expedition. It was the first sunny, somewhat warm day we've had in about a week, and so we decided to break in our snowshoes for the year at South Fork (up past Vivian Park). We had brought our camera with us, but when we busted it out to take a lovely shot of Timp in all her glory, we discovered that our battery was indeed dead (hence the random picture). So we romped around in the snow for over an hour and even tried to start a small fire using Juniper bark and Trav's fancy new flint and steel fire starter (it's just like the one Bear Grylls has- thanks Martha!). I also discovered that my snowshoes can actually double as a sled when going down steep hills. What a great day!
