So you may be wondering what the heck is going on in this picture. Kelly is actually removing the wax from her ear. The Powells introduced us to the very effective, if slightly odd, method for cleaning ones ears. You put the ear cone in your ear and then light it on fire. The heat melts the wax and then the vaccum it creates draws the wax up into the cone. It works quite well and you even get to go to the natural food store to buy the cones (in bleached or unbleached paper of course). Sweet eh?
