A Picture

I hadn't posted a picture for a while so I thought I'd add one tonight. My Dad always talks about his mother's hands and how gnarled they were and that she would never show them in a picture. This one was taken in Arcadia about the time I was born (I think), circa, 1950ish.

Yes, I bought these without being prompted, or threatened.

Proof that you can still teach an old dog new tricks, or at least tricks that the rest of the dogs have been doing for years. Happy Anniversary, Lisa! I love you.

Blogging: the bane of productivity

Do you ever go to a church meeting and learn more about your calling and become motivated to do more with your assignments and have great intentions to get right to work when you get home and then when you get home do you check the blog and start reading about other people and then feel like you have to post a blog yourself so that you're contributing to the family and then start typing and forget what you were originally typying about?

Uh Oh!

After 4 1/2 years the trampoline finally ripped in half. Me and my friends were playing a game of duck, duck, goose and one of my friends sat down right on the hole and ripped it in half! I think it is better than it was before. I can know bounce higher and have fun doing belly slaps. I often fall through the crack but it's still fun. If I sit down and watch the pad when somebody jumps, man it goes up high!

the coolest part

I forgot the coolest part of Seth's practicum work he is doing. He works with the different athletic teams and helping them do their workouts. So, yesterday was the big game between the Vandals and UW in Seattle. So, he drove over on Friday and was able to work the football team out before the game with the other strength coaches and then got to be on the sidelines and hold the players back from the field. His dream come true. It's been fun to watch everything come together and finally see some options for a career. We'll see what the future brings.

no pictures today

I don't have any recent pictures, but we haven't posted in awhile so here goes. Seth is back at school. I thought life was going to be easier this semester than during the summer, but that has proved false. Seth needs to do one more practicum this semester for 1 credit (plus his other classes.) The first day of school he went in to talk to his friends in the strength and conditioning office about doing a practicum. He started working the next day at 5:30am. Even though it's super early and he loves to sleep in, he's adjusting well. We now go to bed like normal people before 10:30pm. He's also working on graduate school plans. We may be in Moscow for an extra year, dang it... :)
I have finished Farmer's Market for the summer, it goes until the end of October, but my pregnant body is done. Even though I'm not that big yet, I'm just done. It was a fun experience and we're scheming up ideas for next summer's market in either Moscow or Seattle, depending on where we will be. As soon as the city finds enough coaches, I will be a soccer mom. Weston starts Micro Soccer this week hopefully. He asks us every day when his coach is going to call him. Koper is trying to talk in sentences and I love having two kids that can mostly communicate what they want. Just in time for one that won't be able to.
That's it for us, hope all is well.

I Love Reading the Blog

Friday Mom and I went camping at Laird Park one more time. We waited until after Labor Day so it wouldn't be so busy. We got our favorite spot and had a nice time. The park got fairly full due to the fact that one of the Pullman wards had their Fathers and Sons camp out that same night.
I had my Bowie Knife ready in case I had a panic attack but all went well and no one got injured. I seem to be doing better. A week from tomorrow I go in for my "sleep"evaluation at Gritman. I can't tell you how excited I am.
It looks like Joe and Sandy bought a 2004 green Explorer. I think they are going to trade in their Focus and one of his pickups. I guess we are just trend setters.
Summer is back. It has been in the 90's the last couple of days. Maybe it will cool off this week. The Latah County Fair starts Thursday.
Sunday is our Ward Conference. I have been sending out e-mails all afternoon just to be sure everything is ready to go.
We love you all.
