Day one at Sixth Crossing- looking pretty clean!

Getting ready for the river crossings at Sixth Crossing. Most of us crossed in our bare feet (and walked the last half in bare feet- our cart took off without us.) As long as we watched out for cow pies and thistles, we were good.

Day Four- we made it!

What we've been up to lately

We're moving back to DC a week from today. We found a place to live near Cousin Marlo and about 5 min from the DC temple. I think the ward we will attend meets in the chapel beside the temple. In the meantime, here's a few things we've been doing:

 I cut down a few trees around the Hills' house. 40 years to grow it and about 45 min to cut it up and put it in the burn pile. 

I ran my first real race (if you consider the Jolly Roger 5k Jog in downtown Palmyra to be "real") in about 17 years and did pretty well. Yes, if you look closely, you'll see that I was beat by a 14 yr old girl.

Kelly's friends. They made an appearance in the field across the road last night and Kelly took at least 38 pictures of them.

Kevin's bday

 We decided to have some friends over to help celebrate Kevin's bday.  We had a few families (and a ton of kids) over to run wild and eat dessert.  We had a fruity trifle, root beer floats, huckleberry ice cream and chocolate cake!  There wasn't much left after all was said and done.  We just had a good time socializing, watching kids run around and crash on scooters, and eating!

More adults-8 adults and 24 kids total.  And we didn't lose anyone!

This was Adria after the party-this loose tooth has been bugging her for days so Kevin got out the pliers.  But it still didn't work.  It'll just fall out eventually.
