I came home for a few minutes at lunch today and as I was going out the front door I caught some movement out of the corner of my eye down in front of my office window. I looked down and it looked like the ground was moving. There were about 10 to 15 tiny quail chicks scurrying all over the place. They were about an inch and a half tall and yellow and black. I could hear their mother calling them and finally saw her peak her head up just under the arborvitae on the corner of the house. It would have been fun to get a picture but Mom has the camera and you probably couldn't have seen them anyway. They probably wouldn't have stood still for their picture either.
