Just a few pictures to tell the story. I have a bunch and several of you have asked for copies so I will burn a CD for each of you and send it out. It has all the activities from start to finish. You can use what you want and delete the rest. It may take a few days to get around to doing it so be patient.

We surly enjoyed visiting with all of you. It's to bad that it takes something like this to get us all together. We loved seeing everyone, fishing at Hordeman Pond, big dinners, lots of kids in the back yard, digging in the mud, swimming at the motel, visiting with relatives, more food, visiting with friends and neighbors, going to church together, more food, etc.

After the funeral at Roosevelt Mom, Tami, Coleen, and I went down to their school to look around, then out to the cemetery. Everything was back in place and covered up. It all looked nice. We visited with Coleen and Tami and then went to bed. The next morning they went to school and Mom and I stopped at the cemetery on the way home. Then we turned and went though Arcadia. I happened to see a lake that I had never seen before (we had driven past it for 40 years - it was a little way off the main road). Eugene had told me it was where Mom and Dad and friends swam as teenagers. We drove by it and then turned around and drove back and found Grandma and Grandpa Shield's place. We visited briefly with the owner (the place looked rough) and then tried to find the Zirker place. I took the wrong road and the mud started to get slippery so I chickened out. Uncle Eugene found it but there were gates in the way and no one wanted to take a chance at getting shot.

We drove back to Provo and had a nice visit with Travis and Kelly. We visited with Kelly's dad, sister and sister's husband. Kevin Hill came out to help them move into an apartment and get settled.

We went up to the Bingham Copper Mine. It was great except it was foggy and snowing and we couldn't see much. We will have to do it again some time.

Friday and Saturday we watched Travis work at the Karate tournament and then Saturday afternoon watched him receive his first degree black belt. Pretty impressive.

Sunday we drove home arriving about 6:30 pm. I really love my own shower, bed and pillow.
We love you all. Thanks for making the sacrifice to be there. Grandpa would have appreciated it.

PS - we all worked Monday and Tuesday and got the house cleaned out and into the garage so Seth and Lacey could move in. They started today. Uncle Eugene and Aunt Tami will come out in early June to divvy up Grandpa's possessions. It kind of puts an end to Grandma and Grandpa's earthly travail. They were good people.
