W is for Weston

We didn't take any new pictures this week, so here is one from a couple of weeks ago. It makes me laugh. We've had an enjoyable week. Seth is working, working and working. He and Peter picked up some side jobs for this past weekend, and they continue to escalate. They are putting in a new wood floor for a family in the ward, who now wants Peter and Seth to build them a deck and finish their bathroom. They also installed some french doors and windows for a different family and ended up having to reframe everything. So, Weston and I have been on our own lately, without a car. I've been bumming rides off Teeny to Target and Curves. We almost have a system down, but now she is leaving for Utah tomorrow. I even made cinnamon twists yesterday. Weston is picking up lots of new words from everyone, this week he learned how to say "W" but he usually only says "double." He'll randomly blurt out a sentence, which is kind of crazy. We've been given new callings for the summer. They asked us to teach the 16-year olds. Next week is our first week. My belly is getting fatter and I'm starting to look pregnant. We get to find out what we're having on the 5th of July when we go back to Moscow for the 4th. I keep calling the baby a she and Weston says we're having a girl. So we'll see!
Take care all y'alls.

Too Much Time On My Hands!

Mom and I went shopping Saturday morning. On the way we stopped at that used bookstore across the street from where the Micro Theater used to be. I came prepared with my list of Louis L'Amour books that I didn't have. I left with 16 new (used) ones. I actually had to go up to Moscow Builders and buy some pavers and a 1x8 to make another shelf. That is pretty pathetic.

I am leaving at 6:00am in the morning to drive to Boise to do building inspections. We do three in Boise and three in Ontario, Oregon. I should be home by Tuesday evening.

We had a fun ward social at East City Park Friday night. Everyone brought a dessert and we played badminton and horse shoes. Not a big group but not bad for the summer.

Grandpa went to the eye doctor this week. A year or so ago all the problems with his left eye had left the optic nerve damaged. He could only see out of the bottom half of the eye. About 2-3 weeks ago it changed and he couldn't see anything out of it. It had been very painful and bothered him quite a bit. The doctor said the optic nerve was now totally damaged and there was some blood inside the eyeball. He gave him some medicine to clear up the blood but told him he didn't think any of his eyesight would come back in that eye. Grandpa was surprisingly upbeat about everything and accepted things as they are. He now has no depth perception and we have just about talked him out of driving. Mom took him to church and then went and pickled him up and took him home. She is at Richards now working up a calendar to get Grandpa everywhere he needs and wants to go.

Mom is excited to see everyone in Denver on Tuesday. Be nice to here and send her back in one piece.

That's about it. I have 15 more books to read.
