Just a Regular Week
Sorry, no pictures to post this week. It was just a regular week. I'm still busy getting everything ready for "the project". I'm looking forward to it but will be glad when its over.
On Friday Mom took the sister (and her four year old daughter) we've been teaching the temple prep class to up to Spokane to but her temple clothes. For some reason Mom had a "feeling" that was bothering her. She kept thinking about hitting a deer on the highway. Well, as they were heading up Stake House Hill a doe came out and crossed the road. Mom slowed down and suddenly a fawn came bounding across the road. The person coming toward Mom in the other lane nailed the fawn head on and flung it back across the road right at our car. Mom couldn't do anything about it and it slid right under our car (thump, thump). She pulled over down the road a ways and checked the car but couldn't find any damage. I guess it pays to drive carefully when you have those feelings.
Friday evening I had an Eagle Board of Review to do. The scout has been working at Camp Grizzly all summer so we had the board downstairs in the lodge. Boy, did that bring back fun memories. Mom went with me and sat outside by the totem pole and read Utah Blaine. It was Cub Scout and family camping and there were cubs all over the place. They were having dinner while we were there. Can you say, "announcements, announcements, .....". The scout is deaf and so we had his mother sign for him as we interviewed him. He did a great job and it was very interesting. I had also done his brother several years ago who is also deaf.
Aunt Brenda was sustained as the new Stake Young Women's President at church today.
The family that sat behind us in church is the son of the secretary that works with Lloyd Loutsenhouser (the Facilities Manager from the Post Falls area). He was telling us that as Lloyd and his wife were sitting in their house a black bear broke in and started eating stuff in their kitchen. They didn't know what to do and Lloyd's wife kept telling him to get his gun and shoot it. Can you see all that blood all over the kitchen. Finally by yelling and banging on things they got it out of the house. I guess that's the price you pay for living in your favorite piece of the forest.
That's it for this week.
