Last week

It's our last week in Florida, so we checked out another tower near us. This one is just ten minutes from our house and overlooks the south end of Tampa Bay. It is five stories tall, the last one at the swamp was a couple stories taller. We had fun watching the fish fly out of the water. They looked like huge rocks skipping along the surface.
At the top.
It was a beautiful sunset.
Weston and the tower.
We sat out on the porch watching an amazing lightning storm the other night. The neighbors probably thought we were crazy but then again they know we're tourists.
We're headed out on Saturday morning. Still patiently waiting on word from a couple jobs. I am dubbing this week Miracle Week because it's our last ditch effort to get something before we leave. The plan for now is to head to Nashville on Saturday, then St. Louis to see the arch, then up to Nauvoo, Dubuque, Madison and then on to I-90 if necessary. But don't quote me on that because for all I know we could end up somewhere completely different.
Enjoy your week.

Update of our house

Our house is done being framed, finally!  The day after we took this they installed the windows, but it actually looks like a house now.  The rooms are all framed in.  Just keeping you posted and sharing our excitement.

A trip to the speedway

Wednesday Night Fever at the track.  If was fun to meet up and watch the cars go round.

Not the best picture, but the best I got of the group.
Riley expressing how loud it was.  The kids had the option of ear plugs, which they played with off and on.
Adria imitating Riley.  Only occasionally was it really loud.

The yellow car taxi was one of our favorites.  It had to front ends so when he would spin around you couldn't quite tell which direction he was facing.

More racing

This one was cool because you could see the black car turned slightly, but he never did hit the wall.
We enjoyed the races, not nearly enough crashing and bumping though.  But it was fun to try something new this summer.  And it wasn't as red neck and painful on the eyes, (if you know what I mean) as I thought it would be.
