It wouldn't be a hike without snow. Braxton and I started at the Two Pan Trailhead on Thursday (9-17-15) and hiked in about seven miles to Mirror Lake. Matt, his brother-in-law Jayson, and Jayson's two brothers and dad started the day before at a different trailhead. On Thursday Matt and the dad took the long route on an established trail and met us at Mirror Lake that evening. The other three brothers tried an overland route, got stopped by an impassable cliff, and had to return to retrace the route Matt took. They made it into camp around 10:00 that evening.

We planned to hike Eagle Cap (in the background) on Friday, but since all of the other hikers were exhausted we just walked a 3-4 mile loop around several lakes. It was beautiful scenery. We also met "Don", one of the owners of Howard Hughes. He lives on Moscow Mountain, near Stakehouse Hill.

The dad has a bum foot and can't carry too much weight. Instead he towed this cart behind him. It worked well for the most part.
